3rd String on guitar keeps detuning and retuning by itself. What's wrong with it?

I recently bought an Epiphone SG special edition and i put brand new Ernie Ball 9s on it. The G-string keeps going flat and then tunes back up after a while of strumming. I never touch the tuners so it happens by itself. Is there something wrong with my new guitar? Can i fix it myself?
