Fingerpick or Flat Pick?

well, finger picking is my favorite for chords, becuase it is the easiest for me to get alot of speed for fast strumming patterns, and it allows me to do more intricate strum paterns, but its all a matter of opinion, but for electric guitar you HAVE to use a flat pick, so if you are ever going to try doing more melodies and picking i would reccomend using a flat pick
