Guitar Hero World Tour Problem for PS3?

This is with the guitar not the actual game. Lately my guitar has been playing up during a song i can hit notes normally but then an extra strum happens i can still get 100%. I googled the problem and most people say to turn the slider bar off which i have done but to no effect
