How can I move on from someone who never liked me?

I liked this girl a while back. We met and instantly clicked. We didn't really see each other much but we talked a lot over the phone. We'd call each other like every other day. One day I actually got the guts to tell her how I feel, the first time I've ever done that with a girl. She didn't talk to me for a year straight because she was "embarrassed". Regardless, stupidly I fell again for her and went on a picnic. She told me she couldn't talk to me for another year because of school and then left. A couple days ago I found out that after she had told me that she went out and got a boyfriend and started hanging out more. I got extremely heartbroken and now I just wana know what I can do to get her off my mind since she started work down the street from where I live
